À la suite du «Concertino» et du Concerto pour clarinette No 1, c’est le Concerto en mi bémol majeur No 2 qui paraît, dans l’édition réalisée par Norbert Gertsch. Là aussi, la partie soliste originale a été juxtaposée dans la réduction pour piano à la version courante de Carl Bärmann (les deux parties sont intégrées à l’édition). Le texte d’accompagnement explicite de façon détaillée l’importance propre des deux versions ainsi que la relation existant entre elles.

Si tratta quindi di un’ edizione di grandissima utilità per gli studenti, ma anche per tutti quegli insegnanti che non ancora erano al corrente di come questo concerto, e anche gli altri concerti weberiani fin qui pubblicati dalla Henle, abbiano subito tanti cambiamenti e passaggi, dal manoscritto di Weber alle edizioni di Carl Baermann fino alle tante edizioni fuorvianti dei giorni nostri.
