The winners of this year’s International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn have been chosen. In the grand final of the competition, before an enthusiastic audience, the jury in the Beethovenhalle awarded first prize to Soo-Jung Ann from South Korea. Stefan Cassomenos from Aurstralia and Shinnosuke Inugai from Japan were awarded the second and third prizes.
In addition to the official prize money, each of the first 3 winners also received a Henle music prize. Sylvia Haas, the daughter of the publishing house's founder Günter Henle, presented the prizes at the prize winners' concert in the Beethovenhalle in Bonn. The publishing house is thus continuing its longstanding tradition of supporting this major piano competition.
