We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear colleague Michael Nowotny, who passed away last Friday after a short, serious illness. Michael was due to retire in just a few months. 

Our thoughts are with his family. We wish them strength and comfort through this difficult time, and trust that their shared memories will provide some solace in the days ahead. 

Michael lived for music: a musician through and through, a publisher, and not least, a music engraver who was without peer. We knew him as a master of his craft and are immensely grateful for his tireless dedication and the exceptional quality of his music engraving. His work played a defining role in shaping the reputation of our publishing house. 

At the same time, we had the privilege of sharing in his joyfulness, his humour and his unwavering optimism. The entire team at Henle has lost a highly valued colleague and friend, and we will miss him greatly. 

Thank you, dear Michael, for the time we shared. We will not forget you.
