Funding cooperation with the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben

May 2025. The G. Henle Kammermusik-Akademie (Chamber music academy) is the result of an initiative by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and G. Henle Publishers as part of a funding cooperation. Following the successful launch in Eutin last year, the second academy will take place from 21 to 24 May 2025, this time at Schloss Weissenstein in Pommersfelden. With the support of G. Henle Verlag, this venture will take place on a regular basis in future. Once a year, as part of the G. Henle Kammermusik-Akademie, scholarship holders will devote themselves intensively to chamber music under the guidance of an alumnus or alumna of the foundation. They will work together on pieces from different eras for ever-changing ensembles and then perform them in a public final concert.

For Felix Henle, Chairman of the Board of the Günter Henle Foundation, it is “... a matter close to his heart to support talented young musicians in their further development in the best possible way.” This continues the tradition of his grandfather and publishing house founder Günter Henle, who supported great talents of his time, such as Edith Peinemann, Murray Perahia and Frank Peter Zimmermann, before they made a name for themselves on the concert stages of the world.

Here you will find a review of the first academy and information on the final concert of the second academy at Schloss Weissenstein.
