Christian Sinding
Rustle of Spring op. 32 no. 3
Hardly any piece of music is as closely associated with the term “salon music” as Christian Sinding’s “Rustle of Spring”. After its publication in 1896, it quickly became one of Sinding’s most popular works and eventually a true evergreen. Sparkling arpeggios and lyrical, at times exuberant melodic lines capture the joy of the blossoming spring – virtuosic and full of dazzling sound effects. Even if the work is often classified as “light music”, it is by no means easy to play! It requires a solid technique and a sensitive feeling for sound. Nevertheless, it lies well under the fingers and can be mastered even by advanced amateurs. The classic Rustle of Spring in Henle quality!
